This blog idea is great! might sound stupid but I especially like the few lines of comments. For somebody's who's been overseas for a few years, I sometimes don't get the references...

from an ex-pat ('n Kapenaar) of many years, now in Los Angeles, I read M&E religiously and keep in touch by iol.co.za newsletters [as well as with family emails]--so am fairly aware of the references in the cels to current events in RSA. "Vriendelike die uwe", etc. en alles geluk.
